Pope Francis To Visit US
in 2015
Pope Francis is considering a trip to the United States in
2015, according to the National Catholic Reporter, citing Vatican sources.
Nothing official has been set--though, the newspaper said,
the primary reason for the trip would be the eighth World Meeting of Families
scheduled for Philadelphia Sept. 22-27, 2015.
The meetings on family issues were started by Pope John Paul
II in 1994 and are held in various parts of the world every three years, the
National Catholic Reporter said.
